Applium wins EcoVadis 2023 gold medal

This year, Applium was awarded a gold medal by EcoVadis, the global specialist in CSR ratings for companies.

With its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) performance evaluation platform, EcoVadis offers over 100,000 companies a rating based on environmental, social and ethical criteria in no fewer than 200 purchasing categories and over 175 countries.

The methodology is based on international CSR standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000. The questionnaire is adapted to the business sector, company size and country. Data is verified by global sustainability analysts.

An accolade for Applium’s CSR policy:

After two silver medals in 2021 and 2022, Applium wins its first gold medal at the end of 2023 with a score of 70/100.

With the increase in Applium’s workforce, an M-size questionnaire instead of an S-size, with more questions and more requirements, was used as the basis for this year’s assessment. Reaching the gold medal target was no easy feat.

“It’s the culmination of our efforts, but also proof of our commitments to the planet and our work on our social responsibility” comments Laetitia VogelCSR Referent.

This gold medal lifts Applium to the 93th percentile and joins the top 4% of the best companies assessed in our ‘Computer programming; consulting and related activities’ business sector.

Understanding the EcoVadis concept :

The CSR scorecard illustrates performance through 21 indicators divided into four themes :

  • Environment – with a score of 70/100, Applium is in the top 11%.
  • Social and human rights – with a score of 70/100, Applium is in the top 12%.
  • Business ethics – with a score of 70/100, Applium is among the top 16%.
  • Responsible purchasing – with a score of 70/100, Applium is in the top 2%.

The assessment highlights strengths and weaknesses and offers customized areas for improvement.

Our progress taken into account during our EcoVadis assessment in 2023:

We have updated our CSR policy, ethical code of conduct and responsible purchasing policy documents. The items in our Bilan Carbone report, drawn up in accordance with ADEME methodology, have contributed to our CSR indicator report.

The EcoVadis process identifies our risks, validates our CSR commitments, practices and performance, and provides a roadmap for continuing to improve our impact over time.

Applium continues its CSR efforts in 2024:

” This gold medal will call for others ” comments Bertrand DalaisonPresident Applium.

An action plan is already being drawn up to retain this gold medal at the next assessment in 2024, for which the criteria will be even more demanding.
