OVHcloud continues to invest in data sovereignty

As soon as 2024 gets underway, European hosting provider OVHcloud announces that the year will be all about security, with new news about the Group’s datacenters.

An ambitious roadmap for SecNumCloud in 2024 and 2025

First mentioned at the OVHcloud Summit 2023, the hosting provider has reaffirmed its intention to offer all 40 products in its portfolio in a SecNumCloud environment by 2025.

This action plan aims to meet the growing demand for cloud solutions that meet the highest levels of security and data protection requirements.

In particular, OVHcloud hopes to obtain SecNumCloud certification for its Bare Metal service as early as 2024.

Finally, on the European level, the hosting provider is actively preparing its offerings for the forthcoming EUCS (European Union Certification Scheme) certification, with a view to offering users the same level of transparency and greater protection against extraterritorial laws.

SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification awarded

OVHcloud’s Hosted Private Cloud service has had the qualification it obtained 3 years ago renewed by ANSSI. OVHcloud Hosted Private Cloud solutions benefit from SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification, currently recognized as the highest standard of security and data protection.

OVHcloud opens a new SecNumCloud zone to strengthen its Hosted Private Cloud offering

The Gravelines site, in northern France, is to host the SecNumCloud qualified Private Cloud service.The new zone in Gravelines joins existing zones in Roubaix and Strasbourg.

The new SecNumCloud zone will be used primarily by public sector players handling sensitive data.
