WalkMe: a strategic acquisition by SAP for 2025

Last June, SAP announced its $1.5 billion acquisition of Walkme, billed as a “leader in digital adoption platforms (DAPs)”.

WalkMe provides a solution for maximizing user adoption of digital applications by constantly identifying gaps and other problem areas. The No-Code platform guarantees user success, without any modification to the underlying software.

At the USF convention last October, we were able to talk to the WalkMe France team and see demonstrations of the solution, which appears to be very effective indeed.

WalkMe covers some of the functionalities offered by SAP Enable Now. The question now is how SAP will organize its offering of OnBoarding/Training/Adoption solutions and its licensing model. It would seem natural for SAP to retain Enable Now for its educational content creation functionalities, and to emphasize WalkMe for all aspects of user interaction.

WalkMe is scheduled to join the SAP solutions catalog in the first half of 2025. In the meantime, Applium has signed a distribution contract with WalkMe France, enabling us to move ahead without waiting for this date;

With WalkMe, the integration of AI becomes palpable on a daily basis.

The merger of the 2 solutions and the ensuing migration are scheduled for 2026/2027.
