Etanco

Etanco relies on Applium for its migration from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA

Since it was founded in 1952, the ETANCO Group has been developing and marketing fastening solutions for the building envelope for four main families of applications: waterproofing, roofing/over-roofing, cladding and facades. The company generates sales of over €200 million and employs 800 people in 7 countries.

Installed more than 15 years ago, the SAP ECC6 (Ehp0) solution used by Etanco was no longer satisfactorily meeting the objectives of improving industrial and commercial processes to support the company’s growth.

Following a consultation carried out in June 2019, ETANCO decided to entrust the migration of its SAP ECC6 environments to S/4HANA 1909 to Applium. After 7 months of project work, in total confinement, ETANCO’s 430 users successfully went live on the latest version of SAP ERP on April 6 morning.

For ETANCO’s IT Director, Miloud Tani, the choice of Applium was a logical one: “After several years of maintenance services and deployment projects in several subsidiaries, the Applium teams were very familiar with our SAP environments and business processes. This was an important factor in the success of the project. Applium had also responded in terms of commitment and budget “.

ETANCO can now calmly launch the next phases in the rationalization of its information system: consolidation of the other SAP environments existing in certain subsidiaries on the new S/4HANA solution, implementation of CMMS functionalities, implementation of numerous advanced functionalities for purchasing, sales, production management and logistics, deployment across several subsidiaries…

After just a few days using the new version of SAP, Miloud Tani explains, “The Applium teams were totally committed to our project, enabling us to meet our operational start-up date of early April and our business objectives. We can now rely on a high-performance, modern management system. We are fully satisfied with Applium’s know-how, expertise and agility in managing our project. “

On the strength of this latest success, Applium is positioning itself as one of the leaders in the conversion of SAP ECC6 customers to S/4HANA. Applium’s SURFtoS/4 offering combines methodology, tools and expertise to support SAP ECC6 customers in their S/4HANA migration. Applium is an SAP partner and was awarded 10 Steps to S/4HANA (10S2S4) certification in October 2017 and December 2019.

Film – Interview with Mr Miloud Tani, CIO of Etanco :

Miloud Tani
Etanco Information Systems Director

In this 3-minute film, Miloud Tani, Etanco’s Information Systems Director, explains why Etanco decided to convert to S/4HANA, the benefits seen by users after just a few months of use, and how the project went.

With an extended functional scope (production, logistics, finance…), almost 500 users worldwide and an aging SAP solution (non-Unicode Oracle Ehp0, Sun servers), Etanco wanted to carry out a rapid and cost-effective Brownfield conversion before deploying new functionalities offered by S/4HANA and rationalizing its landscape made up of several SAP instances.
