Business context / issues that led to your decision to launch the project (existing solution, bread…) ?
The takeover of Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition Europe (now METEX NOOVISTAGO and EUROLYSINE) entailed the complete separation of the company’s information systems, and therefore the move away from Ajinomoto’s datacenters. We needed to find a new hosting solution for our SAP applications.
Why choose Azure? Why did you choose Applium ?
We chose Azure for the following reasons:
- Our decision 2 years ago to phase out (where possible) on-premise hosting.
- A strong Microsoft orientation in our information system
- A good economic compromise: no investment and favorable recurring costs
- The possibility of hosting in France
We chose APPLIUM for its excellent knowledge of our SAP ecosystem, the relationship of trust established over the past 2 years, and its SAP offering in Azure, which is consistent with our needs and orientations.
How long have you been using the solution ?
We have been live on Microsoft Azure since July 3, 2021.
What benefits/improvements has the solution brought you compared with your previous situation ?
The first benefit is economic: the global solution costs us less than the previous one.
The second benefit relates to day-to-day efficiency: we entrusted APPLIUM not only with the BC activity linked to SAP (as part of their SAP Outsourcing offer), but also with hosting. As a result, we have a single point of contact for all these issues, for greater efficiency.
A 3rd benefit is the potential upgrades offered by Azure.
What role did Applium play in terms of implementation ?
Studying the existing situation, proposing the target architecture in Azure, planning and implementing, working closely with the EUROLYSINE teams.
What positive points and areas for improvement have you noted about Applium’s services ?

- Points +: a pragmatic, flexible, agile approach, a committed, motivated and competent team, a demonstrated ability to work in close proximity despite the physical distance in the Covid pandemic context.
- Points -: There was room for improvement in the way the service was managed, particularly in terms of formalism and follow-up, which was more than made up for by the Eurolysine teams.
